Phillip Gaines to open season as a starting CB

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid told the media that cornerback Phillip Gaines will start opposite Marcus Peters to open the 2016 season. (Pete Sweeney on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Gaines started the first three games of last season before going down with a torn ACL, holding his own in coverage in the snaps he played. However, he was exposed in the run game. He figures to be an average at best player for the Chiefs this season and is unlikely to make many positive players for owners rostering the Chiefs' D/ST in fantasy leagues.
