Oakland Raiders safety Reggie Nelson has returned to the field after finally recovering from an ankle injury he sustained in the Bengals playoff loss last season. The veteran safety is one of multiple defensive additions Raiders General Manager Reggie McKenzie brought in. (NBCBayArea.com)

For the Raiders it makes their defense even more tempting with their new ball-hawking safety back in camp. Teamed with first-round draft choice Karl Joseph, who is expected to earn the strong safety starting job, the blend of youth and experience make for a tantalising well-balanced secondary. The Raiders D/ST is a sleeper candidate this year.
