Dwight Freeney to work out for Bengals

ESPN NFL Nation writer Cole Harvey reports that edge defender Dwight Freeney is working out with the Cincinnati Bengals this week. (Cole Harvey on Twitter)

Freeney, 36, has been vocal about his plans to play this season, in particular for a contender. The Bengals fit the bill, and if signed he would make for a quality pass-rushing specialist. Freeney had eight sacks in 11 games with the Cardinals last season, so it is evident the 14-year vet still has something left in the tank.
