Kevin Dodd gets a chance to work out at Clemson Pro Day

After pulling a hamstring during the 40-yard dash in Indianapolis, Kevin Dodd sat out the rest of the combine's workouts. At his pro day in Clemson, he ran through the gamut of workouts, putting up 22 reps on the bench press, recording a 30.5" vertical jump, a 9'2" broad jump, running the 20-yard shuttle in 4.44 seconds, and the three-cone drill in 7.32 seconds. None of these numbers is "elite," but his 20-yard shuttle and three-cone drill times would've snuck into the top 15 among defensive lineman in Indianapolis. (NFL Draft)
Fantasy Impact:
Dodd has been a steady riser on draft boards since the end of the season and this performance won't hurt his draft stock. His on-field workouts, in particular, drew attention, as Dodd took reps at both outside linebacker and defensive end and looked explosive rushing out of both two- and three-point stances. Dodd's natural position is at DE, but NFL defensive coordinators will value his versatility in zone-blitz schemes, and coaches in general will value his work ethic, praised by both his head coach Dabo Swinney and universally respected defensive coordinator, Brent Venables.
