The 49ers have signed the Canadian Football League's top receiver in Eric Rogers. The contract is a two-year deal including a signing bonus of $125,000 and base salaries of $450k and $540k in each of the two years. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The move to pick up Rogers is a positive start to the Kelly era. Rogers led the CFL with 1,448 receiving yards and caught 10 touchdowns in 2015. He had 13 offers from NFL teams and is originally from Southern California. The 49ers receiving corps can certainly use more depth with Torrey Smith being the only player on the roster that is a guaranteed starter. The 6'3", 210 lbs wideout will certainly have a shot to play a role in the offense.
