Carson Wentz to start in place of Mahomes

Carson Wentz will start in place of Patrick Mahomes, who is resting for the regular-season finale against the Denver Broncos. With the AFC’s No. 1 seed already secured, Mahomes will take the week off to prepare for the playoffs. Wentz will have an opportunity to run the offense in a low-stakes game. (Matt McMullen)

Fantasy Impact:

Wentz starting in Week 18 isn’t ideal for fantasy managers. He’s a low-risk, low-reward option, and with little to play for, his upside is limited. Fantasy managers competing for a championship should consider looking for a more reliable QB option to fill in for Mahomes this week.
