Chris Godwin to have MRI before undergoing surgery
by Emily Maingi | Buccaneers Correspondent | Tue, Oct 22nd 9:50am EDT
Chris Godwin is scheduled to receive an MRI on Tuesday morning after a significant ankle injury on Monday night. He will then have surgery that is expected to be season-ending. (Tom Pelissero on X)
Fantasy Impact:
The MRI should give some indication of what the surgeons are working with when they operate on Godwin. While it is not explicitly confirmed the surgery will be season-ending, all indications point that way. Once Mike Evans returns from his hamstring injury, he will take over as the clear WR1 in the offense, but in the meantime, Sterling Shepherd, Trey Palmer, and Jalen McMillan are expected to see more playing time.
