An MRI Saturday revealed Jordan Love suffered an MCL sprain in Friday night's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He is expected to miss some time, but there is no ACL damage, and the injury is not one that will end his season. (Ian Rapoport on X)
Fantasy Impact:
The timeline for Love's return is TBD, but this is good news considering the potential worst-case scenarios that would have resulted in him missing the entire season. For now, consider him week-to-week while we await updates. While Love is out, Malik Willis, who the Packers acquired just a couple of weeks ago, is expected to start at QB. Sean Clifford is currently on the practice squad and is likely to be elevated, though Green Bay could look outside of the organization for reinforcements. This is an obvious downgrade for WRs Jayden Reed, Christian Watson, Dontayvion Wicks, and Romeo Doubs, who were already facing questions related to opportunities given the crowded WR room. Reed had a big Week 1 with 4 catches for 138 yards and a TD to go with a 33-yard TD run.
