The Titans used a third-round pick on Spears in the 2023 NFL Draft, and they have no plans to make him take the backseat in the backfield, despite spending big money on Tony Pollard in free agency. OC Nick Holz told reporters that the backfield split will be close to '50-50' and noted that they view the backs as interchangeable. This is a boost to the floor for the second-year RB, but it also hurts his ceiling that he is locked into a timeshare.
