Carson Wentz unspectacular behind center against Lions
by Chris Schommer | Chiefs Correspondent | Sun, Aug 18th 1:22pm EDT
Carson Wentz completed 5-of-10 pass attempts for 31 yards and one touchdown while also rushing once for a loss of one yard in the Chiefs-24-23 preseason loss to the Lions.
Fantasy Impact:
Wentz was unable to establish much consistency behind center after replacing Patrick Mahomes, minimizing the disappointing outing with a touchdown pass to Xavier Worthy. The dual-threat signal caller remains locked in as the No. 2 option behind center for head coach Andy Reid that will only see the field if superstar Patrick Mahomes suffers an injury for a loaded Kansas City team this upcoming season.
