Sam Williams suffers knee injury, feared to have torn ACL

by Emily Maingi | Cowboys Correspondent | Sun, Jul 28th 7:07pm EDT

Sam Williams suffered a left knee injury on Sunday and had to be carted off the field. While nothing has been confirmed yet, the fear is that Williams tore his ACL and will miss the entirety of the 2024-2025 season. (Tom Pelissero on X)

Fantasy Impact:

After playing in all seventeen games last year and totaling 4.5 sacks, Williams was looking at an increased role this year as a second-stringer due to Dorance Armstrong's departure. In his absence, 2024 second-rounder Marshawn Kneeland will likely step in to fill the backup edge rusher spot behind the formidable duo of DeMarcus Lawrence and Micah Parsons.
