49ers cut former Pro Bowl DT Darnell Dockett

The 49ers released former Pro Bowl defensive tackle Darnell Dockett on Friday. This comes after the team signed him to a two-year, $7.25 million deal in the offseason. Recent social media usage led to Dockett and the 49ers telling different stories about a rib injury he's been working through. (Pro Football Talk)
Fantasy Impact:
Docket had not shown much during the preseason after coming off a season cut short by an ACL tear in 2014. With his current rib injury, the 49ers were not inclined to keep him around any longer which may speak to his level of play that the team feels he is capable of. He's not worth a roster spot for IDP leagues.
