Veteran WR Chris Conley is signing to the San Francisco 49ers' active roster from their practice squad ahead of a Week 14 showdown with the Seattle Seahawks. (Mike Garafolo on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
With WR Ray-Ray McCloud being ruled out for Week 14 and then subsequently placed on injured reserve, the door opened up for Conley to move to the 53-man roster since he was out of elevations. The 31-year-old wideout has played three games with the Niners and saw limited time on offense and even more limited time on special teams. McCloud saw limited time on offense (nine catches, 25% snaps) but was a key special teamer as both the punt and kick returner. Conley doesn't provide a 1-to-1 replacement on special teams but can fill in the depth WR role, which is not fantasy-relevant in San Francisco's offense.
