Chicago Bears CB Jaylon Johnson has requested a trade and the team has given him the right to seek one ahead of the NFL's Oct. 31 trade deadline. (Jeremy Fowler on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Johnson, a former second-round pick out of Utah, is in his fourth and final year of his rookie contract. The Bears and Johnson have been discussing terms on a new deal but couldn't agree, leaving Johnson to request a trade. In his three-and-a-half seasons, Johnson has been productive, tallying three interceptions (two this season), 35 passes defended and 143 tackles. So far this season, Johnson has played at an elite level, surrendering just 120 yards in six games while holding a coverage grade of 85.8 (fifth best in the NFL), per PFF. He could be an impact player wherever he may go if a deal is found in time.
