Fantasy Impact:
The Akers acquisition was a low-risk, high-reward move by the Minnesota Vikings who only had to cede a 2026 late-round conditional pick swap for the move. Akers is a talented back who has shown production in the past, but it has not always been consistent and he was cast aside by the Rams' coaching staff twice in two seasons. He slots in as a potential by-committee back early on but could see an increased role behind incumbent RB Alexander Mattison.
