According to Field Yates of ESPN, free agent RB Benny Snell Jr. had a tryout with the Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday alongside RBs Kenyan Drake and Devine Ozigbo. (Field Yates on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Snell spent his first four seasons in Pittsburgh as a backup/rotational back. However, he fell out of favor in Years 3 and 4, seeing less than 10% of the team's snaps. The former fourth-rounder hasn't been super productive in his limited role, averaging 3.6 yards per carry over his career and catching just 17 total passes. Given their ongoing situation with Jonathan Taylor and the current injury to Zack Moss, the Colts could use another camp body. If signed, Snell could even see a rotational role in 2023. He also worked out with the Raiders a week ago.
