Nick Bosa not expected to practice without new deal

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, San Francisco 49ers edge rusher Nick Bosa is not expected to practice and may hold out of training camp if he does not receive a new contract. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

Bosa enters his fifth NFL season and is set to earn $17.859 million on his fifth-year option. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year is looking for stability and security long term, as he is currently set to become a free agent after the 2023 season. Bosa will probably be a priority move for the 49ers, but his upcoming deal will likely result in one of the biggest contracts in NFL history for a non-quarterback.
