NFL practice squads are made up of 16 players, four of which can be protected from being signed to another team's active roster. That means that the other 12 players are free to be signed by other organizations, which is the case here with Davis, who joined the Giants' practice squad on September 1. Davis spent his collegiate career at Ohio State University and was drafted by the Vikings in the third round of the 2021 draft. The second-year guard will likely serve as a depth option in New Orleans.
