After being involved in recent trade rumors, Darius Slayton has made the initial 53-man roster for the Giants. However, head coach Brian Daboll is unsure if the fourth-year receiver will be on the opening day roster. "Yeah, we’ll see. We’ll see where we’re at right now. He’s done a good job and we’re excited to have him," said Daboll. (Paul Schwartz on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Even if Slayton sticks around for the opener, he joins a crowded WR group. The Giants drafted Wan'Dale Robinson in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft to join 2021 first-round pick Kadarius Toney, Kenny Golladay, and Sterling Shepard. Slayton would have more fantasy value if he joined another team.
