Charlie Kolar undergoing sports hernia surgery next week

Rookie TE Charlie Kolar will undergo surgery next week to address a sports hernia injury that dates back to college. (Jonas Shaffer, The Baltimore Sun)

The Baltimore Ravens stacked up at TE in the offseason by drafting both Kolar and TE Isaiah Likely to back up All-Pro TE Mark Andrews. According to Shaffer, the sports hernia injury has lingered with Kolar since Iowa State, where he had 2,044 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns in his final three seasons. Kolar will try to fix the issue which will only help him in the long run.
