The Green Bay Packers placed TE Robert Tonyan on the physically unable to perform list as he recovers from the ACL tear he suffered last October. (Field Yates on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Tonyan had a breakout season in 2020 when he led all tight ends with 11 touchdown catches. He also had career highs with 52 catches for 586 receiving yards. He saw a decrease in production, particularly in the red zone, in 2021 before suffering a season-ending injury. Reports have said Tonyan may miss the start of the season, and if he isn't activated by then, he will miss the first four weeks. Tonyan, who's being drafted outside the top 15 tight ends in PPR formats, according to FantasyPros average draft position, could provide a sense of familiarity to Rodgers on a receiving core full of new faces. Tonyan finished as the TE3 in 2020.
