Leonard Fournette minicamp weight 'not a good sign'
by Joe Orrico | Mon, Jul 18th 12:19pm EDT
Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports "coaches were not happy, and that's an understatement," in response to Leonard Fournette beginning mandatory minicamp weighing nearly 260 pounds. (BucsWire)
Fantasy Impact:
Fournette has yet to impress the Tampa Bay coaching staff this offseason after not attending OTAs and now beginning minicamp about 20 pounds heavier than 2021. The Buccaneers just spent a three-year contract on Fournette who is 27, yet they also drafted 23-year-old rookie Rachaad White out of Arizona State. White profiles as an impressive three-down running back, more than capable of being Brady's go to receiver out of the backfield. White is a guy to target in drafts, and the Tampa RB situation is one to continue to monitor as the offseason progresses.
