Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey was diagnosed with what's being called "less than a Grade 1 hamstring strain" on Sunday. A timetable for his return has still yet to be set. (Jason La Canfora on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
It's simply amazing news for fantasy managers, as the initial news on McCaffrey was that he was set to miss at least a few weeks, and potentially more. With it now being said the hamstring strain is less than a Grade 1, we could see CMC back in action before the initial three week timeline. In the meantime, fantasy managers should still look into picking up back-up running back Chuba Hubbard, the likely candidate to pick up a majority of the work in McCaffrey's absence, albeit now it may only be for a week or two.
