Tyrell Williams (concussion) placed on injured reserve by Lions
by Avram Avramov | Thu, Sep 23rd 12:29pm EDT
Per the Detroit Lions, WR Tyrell Williams (concussion) will be placed on IR for the time being and will miss at least three games. (Detroit Lions on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Williams suffered a concussion for the Lions back in Week 1 and has since not been available for the team. With Detroit placing Williams on IR this means he will at least miss the next three games and then be re-evaluated to see how he is progressing. During Williams' absence fellow WR Quintez Cephus has stepped up for Detroit and is expected to continue to be a focal point in the offense in addition to TE T.J. Hockenson and RB's D'Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams. It is worth monitoring if the Lions add another WR in the next few days which could be telling of how they see William's long term availability.
