Chicago Bears S Tashaun Gipson has reportedly agreed to terms on a one-year deal to return with the team in 2021, per ESPN's Dan Graziano. (Dan Graziano on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Gipson totaled 65 tackles, seven pass deflections, and two interceptions across 16 games for the Bears in 2020 and will reportedly return after agreeing to terms on a one-year deal. The Bears had one of the more formidable defenses in 2020 and re-signing Gipson will help build continuity to ensure it remains in top form heading into the 2021 season. Playing alongside FS Eddie Jackson and newly signed CB Desmond Trufant should help Gipson replicate similar stats but the Bears will need to enhance their offensive efficiency to allow the defense more rest, as the offense only averaged 29:42 time of possession, ranking 18th amongst all 32 teams in 2020.
