Malcom Brown to be released by the New Orleans Saints

Brown is the latest name in a long list of defensive cap casualties for the Saints as they try to get under the 2021 salary cap. After failing to find a trade partner for the 27-year old Brown the Saints decided to cut him freeing up close to $5M in cap space. Brown had signed a three-year, $15M contract back in 2019 with the Saints and played in 32 total games.
