Quarterback DeShone Kizer was released by the Green Bay Packers as part of their roster cutdown on Saturday, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Kizer was selected in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns but was traded to the Green Bay Packers last season. With this move, the Packers are seemingly going with Tim Boyle as the backup to Aaron Rodgers, though they could end up acquiring another quarterback over the weekend.
