Cam Phillips turning heads at training camp

Jay Skurski of Buffalo News is repoting that rookie UDFA WR Cam Phillips from Virginia Tech is turning heads at training camp. Phillips has reportedly made impressive plays on nearly every day of camp thus far, and continues to look good. (Buffalo News)
Fantasy Impact:
Don't do anything yet, because it still seems that Phillips is on the outside looking in in terms of making the roster. Phillips was a productive player at Virginia Tech, though, accruing 70+ catches and almost 1,000 yards in each of his final two seasons, so it wouldn't be a total surprise if he makes the roster and becomes a contributor. Phillips is bolstered by his ability on special teams. The bad news for Phillips is that he is a bottom-percentile athlete in most metrics (e.g., speed, agility, burst/jump). Phillips might be a taxi squad player in deep dynasty leagues, but it's hard to imagine him becoming more than that.
