James Harrison retires

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting former New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers pass rusher James Harrison has announced his retirement. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Harrison is retiring for the second and "final time" after 14 seasons in the NFL. The All-Pro linebacker made the announcement via his personal Instagram account earlier this morning. Harris retires with 84.5 sacks, 573 tackles, and 34 forced fumbles, earning five trips to the Pro Bowl, two First-Team All-Pro Honors, and a DPOY award. Adding his two Super Bowl Championship wins with the Steelers, Harrison is in the conversation for the Hall of Fame.
