Hau'oli Kikaha (ankle) placed on injured reserve, sign Kasim Edebali

The former outside linebacker Hau'oli Kikaha had been assisting New Orleans on the defensive line as a defensive end the last few weeks as injuries have occurred. In response to his placement on injured reserve the New Orleans Saints claimed their former edge rusher Kasim Edebali, off waivers from the Los Angeles Rams. With Trey Hendrickson (ankle) also looking questionable after missing Thursday's practice the team needed to sign a player that they were familiar with for depth. Edebali spent his first three NFL seasons with the Saints as an undrafted free agent. (espn.com)
Fantasy Impact:
IDP fantasy owners should probably not depend on Hendrickson or Edebali for this Week 17 contest versus Tampa Bay. Cameron Jordan and possibly Sheldon Rankins should be the only relevant New Orleans defensive lineman that IDP owners should trust in the final week of any fantasy football playoffs.
