Washington expects Cofield to miss significant time
by Jonathan Ebanks | Mon, Sep 8th 11:25pm EDT
Washington nose tackle Barry Cofield suffered what is believed to be a high ankle sprain late in the first half of Sunday's game against Houston. He wore a walking boot on Monday and took an MRI as well, but the results are not yet known. Cofield also has a sore groin and head coach Jay Gruden said Cofield could be placed on short-term IR. Chris Baker will fill in at nose tackle and Jarvis Jenkins would get the start at left end during Cofield's absence. (Washington Post)
Fantasy Impact:
Cofield's big body, experience, and run stopping savvy will surely be missed. High-ankle sprains usually take around four weeks to get over at least, so let's hope it's not quite that bad. Regardless, Cofield has virtually no fantasy value in IDP leagues when healthy.
