Walls has minor leg injury, misses practice

by Tom Woods | Tue, Aug 26th 6:50pm EDT

Jets cornerback Darrin Walls missed Tuesday's practice session with a minor leg injury. Head coach Rex Ryan said that the player was 'fine', and is not concerned with the injury. Walls is the assumed starter for New York's season opener against the Raiders, and Ryan wants to make sure that the cornerback is ready to go Week 1. (The Star-Ledger)

Fantasy Impact:

The Jets will most likely have been holding their breath over the health of Walls, after the recent speight of injuries and a suspension has left them thin at the cornerback position. Walls could turn out to be a solid fantasy pick-up if he plays well throughout the season, but he should be left to see how he pans out before claiming him off waivers.
