Pryor impresses in debut

by Tom Woods | Sun, Aug 17th 12:21pm EDT

Calvin Pryor was impressive in his debut, as the New York Jets defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 25-17. The first-round pick was credited with two pass breakups, one tackle for a loss, and one fumble recovery. But what the stats sheet doesn't show were his hits on wide receiver Cobi Hamilton and running back Rex Burkhead, which knocked both players out of the game. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Calvin Pryor was a presence all night on the Jets defense, and quashed any rumours of him holding back due to the concussion he sustained in training. Pryor's performance on Saturday suggested that he may be worth a gamble in redraft IDP leagues, and should definitely be one of the higher picks in dynasty.
