Kansas City Chiefs edge rusher George Karlaftis III is expected to have his fifth-year option exercised by the organization ahead of the 2025 season. (Source: Jeremy Fowler on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Karlaftis has developed into a key part of a talented Chiefs defensive line headlined by superstar DT Chris Jones. In three seasons in K.C., Karlaftis has totaled 24.5 sacks and elevated his pressures from 49 as a rookie to 83 and 76 over the last two seasons. He will stay with the Chiefs through the 2026 season as the sides potentially work toward an extension.

Kansas City Chiefs star defensive back Trent McDuffie is set to have his fifth-year option exercised by the team as he enters Year 4 with K.C. (Source: Jeremy Fowler on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: McDuffie has been among the most impactful cornerbacks in the NFL in recent seasons, including posting a third-best PFF grade of 83.1 while having top-20 scores in coverage and run defense. In 2023, he played primarily in the slot but transitioned to a more traditional outside role in 2024. The All-Pro defender is a versatile weapon for the Chiefs and has been crucial in the postseason, so keeping him around should be a top priority for Kansas City.

The Los Angeles Chargers are using the rare unrestricted free agent (UFA) tender on RB J.K. Dobbins. (Source: Josh Alper, Pro Football Talk)
Fantasy Impact: The Cleveland Browns did this with Elijah Moore after he met with the Buffalo Bills, but the UFA tender allows the team to have exclusive negotiating rights if he does not sign with a team by the start of training camp. If he remains unsigned, he will be set to earn $3.428 million on the tender. Following a relatively healthy campaign, Dobbins is looking for his next home after running for a career-high 905 yards and nine rushing touchdowns. His next step remains unclear, but if he does not find a new home, he is set to stay in L.A.

Fantasy Impact: Kittle is coming off two consecutive 1,000-yard seasons as an integral piece of the 49ers offense. The contract will take him into his age-35 season and is likely his last big payday. Bryant was drafted in the third-round of Illinois last week by Denver. He'll compete for an immediate role in a wide receiver room that has some opportunity open behind Courtland Sutton.

The Cleveland Browns have placed an unrestricted free agent tender on free agent WR Elijah Moore, a rarely used tender, after he visited with the Buffalo Bills. (Source: Field Yates on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: According to the NFL's website, "unrestricted free agents who have received a tender from their prior club by the Monday immediately following the final day of the NFL Draft" have a free agency period that lasts from "March 12 to July 22 (or the first scheduled day of the first NFL training camp, whichever is later)." By placing a UFA tender on Moore, the veteran wideout will contribute to Cleveland's compensatory pick formula if he signs elsewhere. However, if he does not sign with a team by the end of his free agency period, he will sign a deal with the Browns worth the value of the tender, $3.428 million.

Dionate Johnson is signing with the Cleveland Browns. (Source: Mike Garafolo on X)
Fantasy Impact: The Browns haven’t made much of a splash this offseason to their receiving options outside of drafting tight end Harold Fannin and running back Dylan Sampson. Johnson has been a solid receiver for the Steelers as recently as 2023 and for short stretch in Carolina in 2024. However, he has been around the league and failed to stick with anyone since leaving Pittsburgh, so while there is potential for him to carve out a sizeable role in the Browns offense, it’s important to approach the situation with some skepticism.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are signing veteran wide receiver Robert Woods to a one-year contract worth $2 million. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Woods has spent the last two seasons with the Houston Texans, where he caught 60 passes and scored one receiving touchdown. Before that, he spent one season with the Tennessee Titans. While he is no longer in his prime after dealing with injuries (just over 25 yards per game over the last three seasons), he still averages over 10 yards per reception and provides a veteran presence in a receiver room and offense that has a lot of uncertainty.
