After being sidelined since mid-November due to a calf issue, Karlo Matkovic has been cleared to play in Thursday's matchup against the Timberwolves. Jim Eichenhofer of the Pelicans' official site confirmed that the center has shed his questionable designation and will be active for the contest.
Fantasy Impact
The timing of his return is significant for a depleted New Orleans frontcourt. With Zion Williamson facing a multi-week absence due to an adductor strain and Yves Missi unavailable because of foot and ankle trouble, Matkovic is positioned to step immediately back into the rotation and could see meaningful minutes.
