Wille Reed, who is currently in the middle of serving a six-game suspension, has reportedly been traded to the Bulls in exchange for PG Jameer Nelson. The Bulls also have the right to sway second-round picks with the Pistons in the 2022 draft.
Fantasy Impact
Reed played a total of nine minutes in a Pistons' uniform scoring two points before being traded for the second time this season. Reed is expected to be waived by the Bulls following the completion of the deal.
Willie Reed has been suspended by the NBA for six games for violating the leagues' domestic violence policy involving his wife. Anthony Tolliver and Eric Moreland will be in line for more minutes with Reed out.
Fantasy Impact
Tolliver is a name to keep an eye on with Andre Drummond battling some injuries and an illness. If Drummond misses a game, Tolliver would be a very solid DFS option with Moreland picking up more minutes over the next six games.
Willie Reed has been traded to the Pistons in the blockbuster Blake Griffin-Tobias Harris deal on Monday.
Fantasy Impact
Reed will take over as the main backup for Andre Drummond in Detroit so he could see more run there. It's not a fantasy move for Reed that we need to rush to grab him. He's now the handcuff for Drummond owners.
Willie Reed started in place of the injured Deandre Jordan and played 16 minutes against the Nuggets. He shot 2-for-6 from the field. Reed finished with four points, three rebounds, two blocks, and three turnovers.
Fantasy Impact
Once DeAndre Jordan returns to the lineup Reed will have little to no value. It is possible that Clippers trade Jordan and then Reed becomes the starting center, but until then he's not worth having on any fantasy radars.
Willie Reed is out of $1,500 bail due to a misdemeanor domestic battery charge against his wife. Reed could not only get suspended by the NBA but the Clippers could choose to release him. A court date is set for September 8th.
Fantasy Impact
Reed didn't land in the best fantasy place after a solid season backing up Hassan Whiteside. However, his legal troubles could make him lose his job. DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin get a huge boost this season with J.J. Redick and Chris Paul gone.
