Availability
Ramon Sessions agreed to a 10-day deal with the Wizards on Thursday. Sessions could play Friday but will be behind Tomas Satoransky and Tim Frazier leaving only garbage time for Sessions unless an injury occurs.
Fantasy Impact
Sessions should be left on the waiver wire in fantasy with Satoransky the point guard to own while John Wall remains out until possibly the end of March.
Ramon Sessions will be waived by the Knicks in order to make room for G Trey Burke.
Fantasy Impact
Sessions fell out of the starting lineup early on in the season to Jarrett Jack, whose played well lately. The Knicks of course want to see what rookie Frank Ntilikina has and Ron Baker has also played ahead of Sessions. Burke will be insurance behind Tim Hardaway Jr.
Ramon Sessions has agreed to a one-year $2.3 million deal to join the Knicks. Sessions will likely mentor rookie Frank Ntilikina and could make some starts in the beginning of the season. Ron Baker will move to third on the depth chart.
Fantasy Impact
Sessions could have some late-round value in the first month or two of the season but should cede minutes to the rookie down the stretch. Kristaps Porzingis is the focal point of the Knicks moving forward once Carmelo is dealt.
Ramon Sessions' team option for next season will not be exercised and he will become an unrestricted free agent. The team drafted Malik Monk and find Sessions to be expendable. Sessions will look for a team in need of a veteran point guard.
Fantasy Impact
Monk will step into a decent role as a rookie as the team needs to begin to cut a few minutes off Kemba Walker's heavy workload. We could even see them play together making Monk a late-flier.
Ramon Sessions will not play on Tuesday against the Hawks and therefore is effectively done for the season. With Sessions and Walker out, Briante Weber and Brian Roberts will split time at the point.
Fantasy Impact
Sessions lasted just 50 games before a knee injury ended his season. Sessions finished the season with an average of just 6.2 points and 2.6 assists per game. Sessions may not be in Charlotte much longer as he is on a team option for next season at just over $6 million. Brian Roberts and Briante Weber could provide cheaper fill-ins.
