Monta Ellis has been waived by the Pacers on Wednesday. The Pacers acquired Victor Oladipo and will look to get Lance Stephenson more minutes making Ellis not worth the $11 million per season.
Fantasy Impact
Ellis is coming off a bad season and will look to sign on with a guard needy team such as the Lakers or Pelicans. Ellis is also suspended for the first five games so leave him undrafted in re-draft leagues.
Monta Ellis has been suspended for the five games of the 2017-2018 NBA season after a failed drug test. Ellis is on the hook for $11 plus million this season but the Pacers are determined to upgrade the roster. Ellis scored only 8.5 points per game this past season so he will look to bounce back.
Fantasy Impact
Ellis was one of the bigger disappointments last season as a mid-late draft pick. Leave Ellis on the waiver wire at this point in re-draft leagues. Lance Stephenson is the Pacer role player to keep an eye on.
Monta Ellis scored eight points on 3-of-6 shooting from the floor including 1-of-4 from beyond the arc in Thursday's 104-89 blowout Pacers win over the Bucks.
Fantasy Impact
Ellis is now averaging just 6.2 points per game over his last five games. His offensive struggles continue as he takes a backseat to Paul George, Jeff Teague and even newly signed Lance Stephenson. He is not worth a look in DFS for the remaining games.
Monta Ellis scored seven points on 3-for-8 shooting from the field on Sunday against the Cavaliers. He also added six rebound and three assists.
Fantasy Impact
Ellis wasn's very involved in the Pacers' offense but did manage to corral six rebounds, a nice addition to his fantasy value. He has consistently racked up 30 minutes per game of late but doesn't do much in the form of production. He remains a streaming option in most league formats.
Monta Ellis scored just two points on 1-of-5 shooting Wednesday night. He added three rebounds, one assist, and two blocks.
Fantasy Impact
Ellis came alive late last week and earlier this week with some terrific performances, attracting fantasy attention, but Memphis shut him down on Wednesday. It was the first time in nine contests that Ellis failed to record a steal, and he was held to the fewest points since February 1st. Look for Ellis to bounce back on Friday against Toronto.
