Marreese Speights tied a team-high with 17 points on 6-for-11 shooting including 4-for-8 from beyond the arc in Tuesday night's 114-107 loss to the Rockets. Speights added five rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal to his stat line over 21 minutes of action.
Fantasy Impact
This was arguably Speights' best game of January, getting extended time in the absence of both Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic. When he sees extended minutes he is a double-double threat. He's logged 20+ minutes in three games in January scoring in double-figures in each game and recording one double-double. That being said he is solely a DFS play when he has the opportunity for more minutes and doesn't need consideration in season long formats.
Marreese Speights double-doubled versus the Mavericks on Tuesday with 13 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two triples in 21 minutes.
Fantasy Impact
Speights saw an increased role on Tuesday night mostly because Orlando was getting blown out. This was the first time he's playing more than 20 minutes in nearly two months, so he's not worth considering in most formats.
Marreese Speights agrees to join the Magic. Speights will backup Nikola Vucevic, Bismack Biyombo and Aaron Gordon. Speights could see 15 minutes per game at most.
Fantasy Impact
Speights is a solid late add for the Magic as they try to fill out their bench. Speights isn't a player to add in fantasy teams this season.
Marreese Speights continues to start for Blake Griffin who's out for the season with a foot injury. Unfortunately, Speights didn't produce scoring just one point in 13 minutes. He added two boards and one block with two turnovers.
Fantasy Impact
Speights should be avoided in DFS formats as the team could look to make a lineup move while maybe using "The Truth" himself more in Game 6.
Marreese Speights posted his fourth double-double on the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds against the Jazz. Speights added three blocks, two assists and one three-pointer.
Fantasy Impact
It was Speights first double-double since January 16th against OKC. He's not worth a look in fantasy unless something major happened to Blake Griffin or DeAndre Jordan.
