The Los Angeles Clippers' have waived point guard Ky Bowman, according to Jovan Buha on Twitter.
Fantasy Impact
Bowman is a 23-year-old point guard who spent time with the Warriors' last season while they were dealing with a plethora of injuries. He signed with the Clippers' back on December 1st but didn't show enough to earn a roster spot ahead of the regular season. After averaging 7.4 points, 2.9 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game as a rookie, Bowman should latch on with a team looking to add some depth at the point guard position.
Ky Bowman left late in Thursday's contest against the Lakers with an apparent ankle injury. Before he sustained the injury, Bowman scored 11 points (5-9 FG) along with three rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block, and one three-pointer across 31 minutes in a blowout loss to Los Angeles.
Fantasy Impact
Bowman was fairing well prior to sustaining what appears to be a significant ankle sprain that could be a week-to-week injury. The timing for Steph Curry's return couldn't be better as the Warriors are getting extremely thin at the guard position. Bowman can be ignored in DFS while he is on the shelf with the ankle injury.
Ky Bowman's aggression off the bench yielded great results to the tune of 15 points (6-12 FG, 3-3 FT), seven assists, six rebounds, three steals, and one block across 32 minutes in a loss to the Pelicans on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Bowman's quickness and ability to attack the rim were on display last night as he and Juan Toscano-Anderson gave a much needed spark to the Warriors bench. Congratulations to DFS owners who played Bowman - he was priced at $3500 and projected to score 17.9 points on Fanduel and ended up finishing with 43.7 points, the second highest total of his young career.
Ky Bowman set a career-high in assists last game (11) but only received 15 minutes in Monday night's loss to the Miami Heat. Bowman produced two points (1-4 FG), along with three rebounds, two assists, and one turnover.
Fantasy Impact
Bowman didn't have a chance to find his rhythm in tonight's game with Jordan Poole, Jeremy Pargo, and Zach Norvell cutting into his minutes. The good news is Bowman continues to start at point guard so he'll look to rebound against the Suns on Wednesday night.
The fallout from the trade deadline resulted in a new multi-year contract for Warriors PG Ky Bowman. Bowman had been on a two-way deal with the Warriors.
Fantasy Impact
Ky Bowman is the only healthy PG currently on the Warriors roster so he'll get plenty of minutes while Stephen Curry makes his way back from hand surgery. In the meantime, Bowman can be picked up in all formats.
