Kostas Papanikolaou was parked on the bench for Game 1 on Saturday. Papanikolaou will continue to see limited to no minutes in the first round series against the Mavericks.

Fantasy Impact

The Rockets don't have a place for the rookie in their rotation, so he was hit with a DNP (did not play) on the box score. Papanikolaou wasn't a huge factor in the regular season and barring an injury, he will remain on the bench.

Kostas Papanikolaou returned to the Rockets' rotation, after three straight DNP-CDs. He had eight points, one rebound, one assist, one steal and one block in 21 minutes off the bench.

Fantasy Impact

An injury sidelined Terrence Jones, and McHale called on Papanikolaou to take his minutes. The Rockets have a deep frontcourt, and his value will be limited. Papanikolaou can be left on most waiver wires.
