Kelan Martin plays five minutes in loss to the Bucks

Kelan Martin totaled four points (2-2FG) and one rebound in five minutes in the Pacers' 130-110 loss to the Bucks on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

Martin was able to see some playing time against the Bucks scoring 4.0 points in 5.0 minutes of playing time. He is averaging 4.0 minutes and one shot per game and shouldn’t be anywhere near your fantasy radar at this time.

Kelan Martin played one minute better in win against the Bulls

Kelan Martin totaled six points (1-2 FG, 1-2 3PT, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, and one assist in nine minutes in the Timberwolves’ 115-108 victory over the Bulls on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

Martin saw an increase in his playing time to nine minutes, a whole minute more than his playing time in the Pelican’s game, and he played better. Although the improvement was minimal, Martin put up his best line since February’s matchup against the Heat. Martin has shown throughout the season that he is capable of more when provided the opportunity, but for some reason, we have seen his minutes cut-down to a season-low average of 9.7 per game in March. Now, this may be due to the return of Jake Layman, but that doesn’t justify the drastic shift, especially when the rookie is outperforming the veteran with less playing time. Don’t get me wrong Martin at this time isn’t fantasy material, however, if things continue to go down-hill with Layman, he could see an increased role which would completely change his fantasy potential. Until that time, however, keep him sideline but still on your radar specifically for deep league play.

Kelan Martin only plays eight minutes in win against the Pelicans

Kelan Martin totaled three points (1-2 FG, 0-1 3PT, 1-1 FT) two rebounds, and one assist in eight minutes in the Timberwolves’ 139-134 victory over the Pelicans on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact

Along with teammate Jake Layman, Martin found himself on the outside looking in as the rest of his teammates were able to feast on the Pelicans. He did what he could in the eight minutes he was granted, however outside of his two rebounds and one assist, his night was quickly forgettable. Right now, it is safe to avoid Martin in all fantasy formats.

Kelan Martin’s poor play continues in loss to Mavericks

Kelan Martin totaled five points (2-7 FG, 1-4 3PT, 0-0 FT) and two rebounds in 12 minutes in the Timberwolves’ 111-91 loss to the Mavericks on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact

Martin’s poor play continued against the Mavericks this past Sunday, as the rookie shot 28.6 percent from the floor and 25 percent from beyond the arc. His unstable floor and inconsistent playing time make him an easy fade in all formats.

Kelan Martin has a forgettable performance in loss to the Magic

Kelan Martin totaled four points (1-4 FG, 0-1 3PT, 2-2 FT), one rebound, and one steal in 12 minutes in the Timberwolves’ 136-125 loss to the Magic on Friday.

Fantasy Impact

After posting double-digit scoring marks in his last three games, Martin put up a forgettable performance against the Magic this past Friday. He shot a low of 25 percent from the floor and zero percent from beyond the arc and was unable to provide value in the other statistical categories. His conservative play and inconsistent playing time make it hard to trust him in any format; it would be best to keep Martin on the sidelines until further notice.
