Availability
Josh McRoberts will not play on Sunday against the Thunder. McRoberts has yet to debut this season but is close to a return.
Fantasy Impact
The problem for McRoberts is he could be out of the rotation upon his return with Max Kleber starting at the four with Salah Mejri and Dwight Powell playing well off the bench. McRoberts is off the fantasy radar.
Josh McRoberts will not play on Wednesday against the Hawks due to a knee injury. He could miss more than a few games leaving Dwight Powell and Salah Mejri to pick up a few more minutes.
Fantasy Impact
Harrison Barnes and Dirk Nowitzki will man the four and five this season while Nerlens Noel will come off the bench. Those three players should be owned with Powell the most intriguing prospect and DFS streamer when Barnes and/or Nowitzki rest.
Josh McRoberts has been traded to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange A.J. Hammons, a second-round pick in 2023 and cash considerations.
Fantasy Impact
McRoberts will slide in behind Dirk Nowitzki in Dallas as an unfortunate cap casualty in Miami with team re-signing James Johnson and Dion Waiters while adding Kelly Olynyk. It's a crowded backcourt but McRoberts could see 15 minutes per game. He's off the fantasy radar.
Josh McRoberts is out indefinitely with a stress reaction in foot according to coach Erik Spoelstra. Derrick Williams will likely start in his place with James Johnson seeing additional minutes.
Fantasy Impact
McRoberts hasn't been much of a fantasy asset this season. However, the emergence of Justice Winslow and James Johnson make them even more valuable as adds in 12-team leagues.
With Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade and Hassan Whiteside out on Friday, McRoberts stepped up to play a season-high 30 minutes on his way to 19 points, 10 assists and six rebounds in the Heat 115-111 victory over the Hawks. McRoberts made 8-of-13 shots from the field including 3-for-5 from three-point range.
Fantasy Impact
A breakout performance from McRoberts who was only averaging 3.1 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists coming into the game. McRoberts could see some extra playing time with Bosh out, but the return of Whiteside on Saturday will likely eat into the minutes and production that he displayed on Friday. McRoberts is only worth a speculative pickup in deeper fantasy leagues to see if he can build on his performance from Friday.
