Jared Butler drops 25 points in spot start

Jared Butler poured in 25 points (10-21 FG, 5-9 3P) to go with three rebounds, four assists, and one steal across 46 minutes as the Thunder defeated the Grizzlies 115-110 on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact

Butler was allowed to operate as the poor man's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on Sunday, as he led the team in both points and shot attempts. The Thunder rolled out their B-team against Memphis' B-team and the points came in bunches for all. Despite the sharp effort, Butler will have zero relevance for the Thunder as they head into the play-in round against the Pelicans on Wednesday.

Jared Butler signs two-way contract with the Thunder

Oklahoma City is signing guard Jared Butler to a two-way deal.

Fantasy Impact

Butler has been in the G-League after spending two seasons with the Jazz. He could get some run to end the season as it seems the Thunder are in tank mode at this point.

Jared Butler drops career-high 21 points in win

Jared Butler recorded 21 points (8-13 FG, 5-10 3PT), three rebounds, seven assists, and one steal in 25 minutes off the bench in Friday's blowout win over the Clippers.

Fantasy Impact

In such a lopsided affair with the Jazz down six players, Butler took advantage of an expanded role. The rookie out of Baylor had his best game as a pro in a season where he has only seen 8.0 minutes per game. The 21-year-old will need to provide us with plenty more of this type of performance before he has any fantasy value. Monitor the young guard if the Jazz remain shorthanded when they play the Knicks on Sunday.
