Greivis Vasquez

Grevis Vasquez has expressed interest in signing with the Washington Wizards. However, we haven't heard anything to say the Wizards are interested after Vasquez played only three games last season after suffering a season-ending ankle injury.

Fantasy Impact

For Vasquez, he did pick a team in dire need of a backup point guard as Brandon Jennings failed. If the team doesn't draft one or sign a free agent better than Vasquez, maybe the team will give him a shot. Either way, the backup in Washington isn't worth a look in fantasy.

Greivis Vasquez will be released by the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday. Vasquez will undergo ankle surgery, which makes his chances of playing this season very slim. The Nets will sign guard Yogi Ferrell to replace Vasquez.

Fantasy Impact

Vasquez did not have much value before being released, as he has been injured for a majority of the season. Ferrell will play some minutes for now with Lin out, but Kilpatrick and Whitehead are going to lead the guard positions in Brooklyn.

The Nets will release guard Grevis Vasquez on Wednesday. Vasquez will undergo a second ankle surgery likely ending his season. The Nets signed Yogi Farrell in a corresponding move. With Jeremy Lin (hamstring) out, Sean Kilpatrick, Isaiah Whitehead and Randy Foye will see most of the work at the guard positions.

Out of the group of guards currently on the Nets, Lin remains a must stash until he returns. After that, Kilpatrick is very worthy of an add off waivers.

Vasquez has seen increased minutes due to the injury to Michael Carter-Williams but has failed to take advantage of them. Vasquez has zero fantasy value except in the deepest of leagues.

Vasquez shot 4-for-12 from the field in route to scoring 12 points. He also tallied five assists, one steal, and one rebound.

Vasquez has been abysmal shooting the ball to start the season making him very difficult to start in any fantasy format. With Michael Carter-Willaims out tonight, Vasquez had a chance to make a fantasy impact but failed to do so.
