Dragan Bender played his best game as a Warrior on Tuesday night, contributing 23 points (8-12 FG, 5-5 FT), grabbing seven rebounds, dishing out three assists, and knocking down two three-pointer's in 25 minutes in a 131-107 loss to the Clippers on Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact
Bender, on his second 10-day contract, played great off the bench for the Warriors by shooting an efficient 67% from the field. Bender's scored in double figures for the second consecutive game but doesn't warrant a pickup in 10-12 team formats since he does not receive consistent minutes or have a high usage rate in the Warriors system.
Dragan Bender recorded three points (1-6 FG, 0-3 3PT, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, and four assists over 16 minutes in Thursday's 121-113 loss to the Raptors.
Fantasy Impact
With Draymond Green and Kevin Looney both out of Thursday's matchup Bender seemed primed for a solid fantasy night. Unfortunately shooting 16.7% from the field severely hampered the opportunity. Averaging just 5.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game this season, he should only be looked at in the deepest of leagues.
Dragan Bender re-signed Thursday with the Warriors on a second 10-day contract.
Fantasy Impact
Bender’s original 10-day contract expired on Tuesday and the Warriors re-upped him for another 10 days. It was reported that the Warriors were interested in retaining Bender as has been productive in his 10-day trial. He averaged 7.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 triples across six games with the Warriors. Bender is only a speculative add in deep-league formats.
Dragan Bender totaled 14 points (5-9 FG, 2-4 3PT, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, and two assists in 22 minutes of play off the bench Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact
Bender put up his highest point total of the season Tuesday night. The fourth-year big man is getting his first consistent playing time of the season with Golden State but is still only fantasy viable in nothing but the deepest leagues and dynasty formats.
Dragan Bender drew the start at center in place of Andrew Wiggins and finished with four points (2-6 FG) adding four rebounds, one assist, two steals, and two turnovers in 22 minutes in a blowout loss to the Lakers on Thursday night.
Fantasy Impact
The Warriors trotted out their big lineup, with Bender at center, Marquese Chriss at power forward, and Draymond Green at small forward but it added no boost to Bender's production. Bender has yet to do anything to prove worthy of extending through the end of the season but with the injuries piling up for the Dubs, he may get a longer look because the Warriors need the bodies. Keep Bender on waivers.
