Waiters has not appeared for the Lakers since Game 2 of the Western Conference semi-finals against the Houston Rockets. With Rajon Rondo listed as questionable, the Lakers will likely give more minutes to JR Smith and Talen Horton-Tucker off the bench.

Dion Waiters logged a team-high 19 points (8-15 FG, 3-6 3PT, 0-1 FT), five assists, and three rebounds over 26 minutes of relief in Thursday's 136-122 loss to the Kings.

The 28-year-old guard was acquired by the Lakers in March but didn't make his debut until July 30th. In six games he averaged 10.7 points, 2.0 assists, and 1.7 rebounds. Waiters and LeBron James will attempt another championship run together before Waiters hits the free agent market this offseason.

Waiters looked solid again offering Head Coach, Frank Vogel, another scoring option off the bench besides Kyle Kuzma. If Monday night is any indication of what the playoff rotation will look like, then we should expect Waiters to get a chance to prove himself. Averaging 23.3 minutes, 10.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game since the restart, Waiters offers to be a solid value option in daily fantasy.

Waiters has had a consistent role for the Lakers in their first two games of the NBA restart. Waiters did not have a great shooting night, but is earning more minutes than J.R. Smith, who plays the same position as Waiters off the bench. It appears that Waiters should continue to see an opportunity off the bench for the Lakers, which can make him a solid value option in daily fantasy.

Waiters may find himself with a larger role if he can continue putting in efforts like Thursday's game. He finished with a team-high +17 and outshined starter Danny Green. The Lakers roster is loaded with valuable shooting guards but Lebron James has trusted Waiters in high-pressure playoff games in the past. He's worth a shot in DFS tournaments.
