G/F Darius Miller will not accompany the Pelicans to Orlando as he continues to rehab from right Achilles surgery.
Fantasy Impact
Miller was considering traveling with the team to Disney World, but now it appears he will not be doing so as he continues to rehab from surgery. No replacement player will be granted to the Pelicans, however the team did sign G Sindarius Thornwell to join them for the remainder of the season.
Pelicans G/F Darius Miller is unsure if he’ll be able to play the remainder of the season, but plans to travel with the team down to Orlando.
Fantasy Impact
Miller is coming off an Achilles injury and hasn’t been able to play much 5-5, so he’s unsure about his playing status at this time. Since it’s unlikely he’ll be able to ramp up his activity very quickly, we may not see him suit up for the Pelicans again this season. Guys like Josh Hart and Kenrich Williams could see an uptick in minutes with Miller on the sidelines.
Pelicans G/F Darius Miller suffered a ruptured achilles in August last year, and presumably could return for the remainder of the 2019-20 regular season, however, his status remains in question.
Fantasy Impact
Miller has missed the entirety of the 2019-20 season to-date as he recovers from the ruptured achilles. During the 2018-19 season, Miller was a key bench piece for the Pelicans, averaging 8.2 points in 25 minutes per game. The former Kentucky Wildcat played three seasons in the NBA’s G League from 2014-2016, but now seems to be carving out a nice role for a much improved New Orleans team.
Darius Miller underwent surgery Thursday to repair a ruptured right Achilles tendon. The forward is expected to be sidelined for 7-to-8 months.
Fantasy Impact
Miller presumably suffered the injury during a recent workout. There's a chance Miller misses the entire 2019-2020 season. His injury opens up more minutes for Brandon Ingram, Nicolo Melli and Josh Hart.
Darius Miller contributed 13 points, two dimes and two rebounds in 29 minutes of game action on Tuesday night.
Fantasy Impact
Miller has been a consistent three-point shooter of late, but he does little else for your team. Unless you're desperate for threes, leave him on the wire.
