Cole Aldrich started for the Timberwolves in a preseason matchup with the Thunder on Sunday evening. He played 25 minutes and scored 10 points on 4-of-5 shots from the floor. He added six rebounds, three blocks and a steal to his final line.

Fantasy Impact

While he isn't a player that should be on most fantasy radars, Aldrich provides much needed front court depth for the Timberwolves and could be a sneaky tournament play in daily fantasy games if it looks like he'll get extended minutes on a given night. With DeAndre Jordan resting, Cole Aldrich saw the majority of minutes at center against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The big man contributed six points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and three steals. The Clippers lost a close one 119-117.

Aldrich was not involved too much on the offensive side for the Clippers Thursday night, taking only four shots, but knowing that Jordan was out, Aldrich became a nice GPP option if you wanted to punt the center position. He had a tough matchup as the Thunder rank near the top in DvP against the center position, but he produced 24 FanDuel points at $3500. If the Clippers decide to rest Jordan again before the playoffs, Aldrich becomes a nice value no matter the opponent.

With DeAndre Jordan resting tonight, the 6-11 center will get a chance to see heavy minutes tonight.

Aldrich doesn't play much off the bench averaging just over 12 minutes per game for the Clippers. He played 28 minutes back on January 16 when he scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. When given the opportunity, Aldrich has double-double upside. The matchup tonight against the Thunder will be a tough one, as the Thunder rank fifth in DvP against the center position. If you're looking for a punt pay tonight at center, Aldrich is bottom of the barrel at $3500 on FanDuel. Aldrich is strictly a GPP option.

Cole Aldrich scored a season-high 13 points (3-9 from the field, 7-8 from the foul line) against the Wizards on Monday with six rebounds, three assists, four steals and one block. He made one turnover in 20 minutes of play.

Aldrich played the entire fourth quarter because of garbage time. He will be in the rotation until Blake Griffin (quad) gets back, but he's not worth owning in almost any league.
