Lakers' coach Byron Scott will sit Carlos Boozer and Jordan Hill for at least one more game, then re-evaluate whether to plug both men back into the lineup.
Fantasy Impact
Both of these guys are being sit in order for the Lakers to develop their young frontcourt talent. Ed Davis, Ryan Kelly, and Tarik Black will get the lion's share of Boozer and Hill's minutes. It's the best thing for the Lakers since they need to evaluate which players are vital to their rebuilding efforts. Don't expect too much from this group against the Raptors' tough bigs, though.
Carlos Boozer was a Did Not Play - Coach's Decision Tuesday in a 127-117 loss to the Thunder as the team gives its younger players an opportunity to showcase what they've got as the team looks to next season.
Fantasy Impact
Carlos Boozer has been coming off the bench most of the year and providing decent numbers, but has not been a must play this season. With the youth movement in full effect, Boozer can now be safely dropped from any rosters.
Carlos Boozer just missed his 11th double-double of the season, scoring 10 points and grabbing nine rebounds in 24 solid bench minutes for the Lakers, who lost Monday 108-105 to Golden State.
Fantasy Impact
Monday was the seventh time this season Carlos Boozer narrowly missed a double-double. While he's probably not one to start in season-long leagues, he's consistently been in the 25-point range for daily games and a decent value option.
Carlos Boozer returned to a reserve role for the Lakers on Sunday, but it didn't affect his play as he scored 17 points on 8-15 and grabbed 8 rebounds in 25 minutes. In the end, it wasn't enough as the Lakers lost 100-93 to the Mavs.
Fantasy Impact
Carlos Boozer has been a steady hand for the Lakers after a slow start to the season, providing quality minutes and leadership despite constant changes to the Lakers rotation.
Carlos Boozer had 15 points and 11 rebounds in 25 minutes, but it wasn't enough Tuesday as the Lakers dropped to the Hornets 104-103. Boozer was an efficient 5-8 from the field and made 5-6 free throws.
Fantasy Impact
A return to the starting lineup hasn't ignited Boozer the same way a move to the bench did earlier this season. His minutes have remained steady throughout the season either as the starter or coming off the bench, so don't expect any additional production from the former Duke standout. He'll have his nights, but more often than not you'll be guessing which games he'll show up for and is a risk in all formats.
